PHOENIX, Arizona – 27-year-old Martin Jones lost his parents when he was very young, and grew up in foster care. This, he says, lead to a lifetime of overeating, to the point that on his 24th birthday, he weighed nearly 550 pounds.

“I knew I needed to do something, or I was going to die,” said Jones.

Against the better judgement and direction of his doctors, Jones said he took to the internet to find remedies for quick weight loss, and tried several over a 2-year period.

“I did Atkins. I was a vegetarian. I was exercising as much as I could, and nothing worked,” said Jones . “Then I discovered the Carrot diet.”

Jones said “I was eating nothing but raw carrots, sometimes eating as many as 20 or 30 a day, then over a short space of time I noticed something really strange … my hair was slowly turning ginger.

“Everyone calls me ‘ginger nut’ now because my hair has turned orange from eating so many carrots but it’s worth it to look normal again … I’ve lost 390 pounds on the new diet. And all I eat is Carrot …. Other than the obvious side effects the diet works perfectly”.
